“The Only Constant in Life Is Change.”- Heraclitus

We have a lot of change happening right now here in our corner of the apocalypse. We have a new camp in which to explore and we have a new team at the helm steering us through the insanity that comes along with our particular brand of chaos.

Change can lead to a lot of uncertainty and concern about the future. We have a tendency to hold on to the old ways instead of seeing the cool things ahead of us. But when that happens for me, I think about what we are taking with us into that future.

A lot of us were concerned about the change to 3.0 in our game. But our game is still the community of people we enjoy telling stories with. That keeps getting better all the time. And moving to a new site is just us having a new place to tell new stories together.

Some might be concerned about how new management is going to make things different. To help relieve that concern we have the following Mission Statement that will guide our steps:

We at Cryptid Creations believe that the best part of our game is the players, and we will strive to make sure each one has an exciting and fulfilling time. We will always attempt to deliver the best experience possible at all Dystopia Rising Arkansas events and listen to feedback in order to constantly improve and grow.

Despite the dark and violent themes of the game, Dystopia Rising Arkansas is a safe place for people of all types. We will NEVER discriminate against someone based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other factor.

Due to the nature of our game, we encourage our players to let us know of any real-life fears or situations that would cause them to become uncomfortable during the game. While we may not be able to prevent every situation, we will do our best to alert those players when such a scene may be occurring soon. Also, we will always respect the wishes of any player who chooses to ‘Opt out’ of a particular scene for those reasons.

Our goal is to develop our community into a place where all feel safe in joining in to tell great stories with each other. In order to do that, we encourage our members to make us aware of anything large or small that may place that safety in jeopardy by members ignoring our guidelines and policies. We will take the steps necessary to protect our community when such cases are found.

Most importantly, we acknowledge our own humanity and possible mistakes we may make in this endeavor and will strive to minimize those moments. We will strive for open and honest communication and to create transparency in our actions that can be seen by our community members.

We believe that communication is the key that will help us make sure this mission is fulfilled. So we want to hear from you. We need feedback. If you have concerns, reach out to us. If you have any questions, ask them. We will answer them the best we can.

We care about our community and will protect it fiercely. This will always be our first priority.
